Writing Journal Entry # 10:

I’m on a roll!
I passed 48,000 words, took time to read through what’s already finished, looked through the rest of my remaining hand-written notes, and I’ve passed the halfway mark on Slipped Masks.
It’s only the first draft, but knowing I’m over the midway point still feels great: the story has come to life and has that momentum like it’s writing itself.
The rest of the book is now a steady glide downhill to the finish.
So far in the story: Casey, about to destroy the lives of others, remembered the turning point in his childhood; a combination of horrific events that set him on the road to chaos.
Time to get on with the next chapter.

Friday funny:

Because the weekend is here!

Alien Trading Cards:

During the '80s, these trading cards were part of my collection of movie merchandise and memorabilia.
The movie poster also adorned my wall when I was a teenager …

I eventually got rid of my memorabilia when my hobby became dangerously close to hoarding.

Now I just hoard books …

… and it’s not classed as hoarding if it’s books.

Blade Runner 2049:

Today we saw the long-awaited sequel to Ridley Scott’s ground-breaking 1982 original: Blade Runner, based on Philip K. Dick’s novel: Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?

I’m way behind on my movie blogs, and Blade Runner 2049 is added to the list of those I’ll be covering.

For now, I’m not going to give any plot details; I’m only going to say that this movie is worth the price of the ticket to see it on the giant cinema screen.

As I watched, I remembered seeing Jaws for the first time when I was kid. Although both movies are completely different; both movies reminded of why I fell in love with movies in the first place.

This scene of Ryan Gosling, as K…

… is nicely reminiscent of the silhouette in the novel and comic book logos:
