Writer – Photographer – Advocate
I love writing Neo-Noir thrillers: the dark, unforgiving world of crime, criminals and the anti-heroes who hunt them down.
The line between good and evil and the choices people make.
Right from being a kid in the 70s, I read every book and watched every movie I could find in the noir genre.
Writing has given me the opportunity to tell stories and share experiences in my own life, in a fictional setting.
Narcissistic Abuse is a recurring theme in my books.
I write about it because I experienced it.
I was in a relationship with a Malignant Narcissist, endured the hell of psychological mind games, gaslighting, adultery, physical violence, et al.
As a man, it was difficult for me to come to terms with being a male victim of domestic violence.
Reality is the personality disorder is not gender-specific.
Both men and women can be equally violent and dangerous.
I lived it. Endured it. Survived it. Recovered, moved on, and rebuilt my life.
After researching Narcissism, Sociopaths, Psychopaths, and Cluster B personality disorders, I understood what I’d gone through and what I needed to do in order to recover.
Yoga and Mindfulness Meditation are a tremendous help to me.
Writing The Breaker series gave me a way to share my experience and lessons learned as part of a novel sub-plot.
I
made my story part of the history of my main character: Seth Egan.
By retelling my personal story in the form of a neo-noir crime thriller, I give the reader a sense of the emotion, confusion and distress of a toxic relationship.

Along with reviewing my personal favorites, I’m writing about watching specific movies with folks who saw them for the first time, as I noted their reactions.
The movie I chose for date night when I first met my wife.
Experiences of being at the theatre.
Some movies I went to see … then regretted the price I paid for the tickets.
The crowd in the theatre, including …
LOUD face suckers and seat creaking gropers that couldn’t afford to get a room.
Back-of-the-seat kickers.
Drunks.
Sleepers that snored … LOUDLY!
LOUD snack crunchers and soda slurpers and spillers.
LOUD belchers.
LOUD and silent farters … oh, God!
Frequent bathroom visitors who disturbed everyone as they stood up and made everyone move … then made them move again when they returned … always when the good parts of the movie were playing.
Grandstanding hecklers who chose the theatre for their LOUD impromptu comedy debut.
Video rental stores and meet-ups with friends that turned into movie-athons.
On this blog, I’m posting my favorite movies on the calendar date of their original theatre release.
I love TCM. They always screen great noir classics.
