What happens to the myelin sheath during Multiple Sclerosis (MS):

A common MS Meme showing:

what happens to the myelin sheath, it's frayed and the signals to the body goes haywire.
"It can make it so my brain wants to send a signal to my mouth to open to have nurse take my temperature.. yet every time she comes to take my temperature I don't open my mouth. I lift my right arm. My temp was taken 40 times in one week and 90 % of the time I did this"

Thanks to Cassie for this!
